SR 10-1 Social Responsibility Certification

ISO 26000 provides guidance on how businesses and organizations can operate in a socially responsible way. This means acting in an ethical and transparent way that contributes to the health and welfare of society.
BAS SR 10-1 is an international specification, developed by Bureau of Assessment Services. The standard was developed by CSR and Environmental Experts of BAS and other members representing various governmental organisations and NGOs. It is aimed to integrate social responsibility management into organisations business strategy and to communicate the achievements obtained through certification.
BAS SR 10-1 provides guidance on how businesses and organizations can operate in a socially responsible way. It helps clarify what social responsibility is, helps businesses and organizations translate principles into effective actions and shares best practices from around the world relating to social responsibility. The standard designed to be clear and instructive, even to non-specialists, as well as objective and applicable to all types of organization, including big business, small- and medium-sized enterprises, public administrations, governmental and non-govermental organizations. BAS SR-10 is designed to assist organizations in contributing to sustainable development, encouraging them to go beyond basic legal compliance, and to promote common understanding in the field of social responsibility, complementing other instruments and initiatives for social responsibility.
The BAS SR 10 specification establishes requirements for defining, implementing, maintaining and improving a social responsibility management system, so as to integrate social responsibility within all the organizations and to contribute to sustainable development, taking into account stakeholders’ needs and expectations to show the capacity of an organization to fulfill, through an ethical and transparent behavior:
